What is slow fashion? It's all in the details

Hello Waitlisters!

So the secret is out, now it's time to get to know what it's all about.

So what exactly is slow fashion and why is it so important? Slow fashion is on the opposite side of fast fashion (get it??), meaning that it is made with a slower, more thought out and sustainable approach. Its thoughtful, holistic and intentional.

Handmade clothing falls under this category, as it takes into consideration all processes and resources required to make clothing. It views fashion as an investment, rather than a trend that will get disposed of at the end of the season.

Some might say that handmade garments cost more. While this might be true, some fast fashion pieces that are cheaper in cost are also most likely going to be cheaply made and from unsustainable and inferior materials. So while you might be paying a bit more for our products, you are also getting a lot more out of them.

When buying handmade, you have the confidence in knowing exactly where the items come from and how it was made.

All of our products in our new range are being made right here in Melbourne in our home studio. While we may have some products premade and ready for sale, most of our clothing line will be made to order.

Our fabrics are also sourced from other Australian businesses, so when buying our handmade products, you have the confidence in knowing exactly where the items come from and how it was made.

Working with soft cottons and rich linens ensures that our range will stand the test of time.
